Mumias Progressive Welfare Society was registered in 1982 as a non-political, non-religious welfare society that aspires to bring together all the people from the larger Mumias region and those who have an interest in the region for purposes of pulling together resources be- it financial, intellectual, human etc for the betterment of the socio-economic welfare of its members in particular and Mumias community in general.
